Ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance is a critical role in any organization. As a Compliance Specialist - Payroll Governance Expert, you will be responsible for managing payroll records with precision and ensuring that all statutory legislation and company policies are adhered to.
About the Job- Process payroll in accordance with Awards, Agreements, Company Policies, Fair Work, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, and relevant legislation.
- Educate the team on legislative changes and best practices.
- Identify process improvements, especially in governance and risk management.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Respond to escalated payroll queries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and review payroll reports to inform strategic decision-making.
You will be responsible for ensuring payments to staff are accurate, compliant, and on time. This role requires strong technical knowledge of payroll compliance and governance, as well as excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Ideal Candidate Profile- Proven experience in a senior payroll role with a focus on compliance and governance.
- Strong technical knowledge of payroll systems and processes.
- Ability to identify and implement payroll technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Experience reviewing procedural documentation and implementing process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
