Electrical Maintenance Specialist

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our dynamic team at Veolia in Newcastle. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless operation of our water and wastewater treatment facilities, contributing to our mission of providing clean water and protecting the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshoot breakdowns on electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Calibrate and maintain instrumentation across water and wastewater plants.
- Modify and update wiring diagrams, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Carry out planned maintenance tasks and participate in the on-call roster.
- Utilise your expertise in hardware fault finding and data management.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, providing supervision and representing Veolia.
- Contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to WH&S, Environment, and Quality Systems.
Requirements
- Educated to a trade qualification level in electrical engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance of heavy industrial plant and equipment.
- Instrumentation certification is desirable.
- Driver's licence.
