Occupational Therapist – Community Based Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our mobile, community-based service in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. In this role, you will work with clients in their own homes, providing tailored therapy services to a diverse range of individuals, including those in various sectors.

This is a part-time or full-time position (minimum 3 days per week) offering flexibility to choose your own hours and days. As an Occupational Therapist in this role, you will:

  • Visit clients in their homes, assess their needs, and design intervention programs to help them achieve meaningful goals.
  • Conduct assessments for home modifications, from simple to complex.
  • Assist clients in finding the right assistive technology solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with support coordinators, local area coordinators, and equipment suppliers.
  • Write reports to document client progress, outcomes, and recommendations.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration.
  • Experience or a keen interest in providing OT services to adults with disabilities, chronic disease, and complex care needs.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills to manage a flexible caseload.
  • Ability to complete autonomous home and community-based assessments and interventions, following an extensive onboarding program.
  • A reliable car and driver's license to visit clients in their homes.
  • Current NDISWC / WWCC (or willingness to apply).
