About the Role

The SA Medical Imaging consultant radiologist and nuclear medicine specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality medical imaging services to patients at the Women's and Children's Hospital. This role requires a strong clinical and academic background, with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional leadership to clinical staff and supervise the teaching of radiology trainees, other staff, and medical students.
  • Support and participate in quality improvement and quality assurance activities to ensure safe and effective patient care processes.
  • Represent SA Medical Imaging at campus meetings and liaise with clinicians regarding service provision.
  • Take responsibility for at least one clinico-radiology/multidisciplinary meeting per week.
  • Support and encourage team cooperation among staff to optimise the level and diagnostic accuracy of the service provided.
