The Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service provides specialist mental health, substance, and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gladstone, Banana Shire (Biloela, Moura, Theodore) Woorabinda and Central Highlands districts and adult inpatients of the Central West Hospital and Health Service (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000).
About the Role- Provide high quality psychiatry services to consumers of the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service.
- Provide clinical leadership for the Mental Health clinical team.
The position requires a candidate with a solid background in psychiatric practice. The successful candidate will also demonstrate extensive skills in facilitating effective mental health care across the continuum of Psychiatry of Old Age inpatient and community settings and within a multidisciplinary environment.
Requirements- MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Psychiatry with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA).
- In general, this will require Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold the Certificate in Psychiatry of Old Age or have an interest in Psychiatry of Old Age.
- Eligibility for accreditation as a RANZCP-approved supervisor.
- Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies.
A salary rate between $251,527 - $266,677 p.a. (L25-L27) and A salary rate between $210,332 - $244,313 p.a. (L18-L24)
12.75% employer superannuation contribution and 17.5% leave loading
