We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator to join our team as an Assistant Coordinator at St Ignatius Outside School Hours Care in Toowong.

As an Assistant Coordinator, you will play a vital role in shaping the experiences of the children in our care. Our service provides a happy, safe, secure, and relaxed environment where children can interact with friends, develop social skills, solve problems, explore new experiences, and acquire essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including program planning, delivery, and documentation.
  • Staff rostering and supervision.
  • Administration and financial management tasks, such as fee collection.
  • Deliver a high-quality, inclusive, educational program.
  • Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment.
  • Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission, and Values of Catholic Early EdCare.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis.
  • Consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the Coordinator.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework, and National Law/Regulations.
  • Experience in the education and care of children.
  • Effective computer skills, including experience with childcare management software.
  • Effective workplace communication and leadership skills.
