**Surgical Opportunities in a Diverse Environment**
We are seeking General Surgeons to join our team on southern Vancouver Island. The successful candidates will work closely with experienced surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Island Health South Island is an integrated tertiary care health complex that includes three acute care hospitals and one daycare surgery and endoscopy centre. This diverse environment offers the opportunity to work in various settings, including operating rooms, clinics, and emergency departments.
As a General Surgeon, you will have the chance to contribute to excellent patient care and participate in continuing education opportunities. We are committed to providing a collaborative and supportive work environment that fosters growth and development.
Our ideal candidate will possess strong background in general surgery, acute care surgery, endoscopy, and trauma surgery. Experience in leading clinical quality assessment and quality improvement initiatives, as well as surgical education, is highly valued.
**Requirements**
- Fellowship completion in Acute Care Surgery and/or Trauma Surgery
- Administrative experience in trauma systems development
- Leadership skills in clinical pathway and clinical practice guidelines development
