**Civil Drafter Role Description**
We are seeking an experienced Civil Drafter to join our Urban design team to assist in the delivery of a diverse range of projects across both brownfield and Greenfield developments.
In this role, you will create and revise detailed civil engineering plans, including site layouts, grading plans, storm drain and sewer systems, and road designs, using CAD software. You will work closely with civil engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure drawings meet project specifications, design intent, and industry standards.
Maintenance of accurate documentation is also crucial in this position. You will be responsible for maintaining and organizing project files, drawing revisions, and documentation in a clear and accessible manner. Your task will be to ensure all work adheres to company and client standards.
The successful candidate will have experience as a civil drafter, with a portfolio of completed projects. A diploma or associate's degree in civil drafting, CAD technology, or a related field is required. In addition, advanced knowledge of and proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, is essential.
An excellent understanding of civil engineering principles, drafting standards, and familiarity with local, state, and federal codes and regulations are expected. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drafting and Design: Create and revise detailed civil engineering plans, including site layouts, grading plans, storm drain and sewer systems, and road designs, using CAD software.
* Collaboration: Work closely with civil engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure drawings meet project specifications, design intent, and industry standards.
* Documentation: Maintain and organize project files, drawing revisions, and documentation in a clear and accessible manner.
* Review and Quality Control: Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to relevant codes and regulations.
Requirements:
* Diploma or associate's degree in civil drafting, CAD technology, or a related field
* Experience as a civil drafter, with a portfolio of completed projects
* Advanced knowledge of and proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D
