
Railway Signalling Innovation Specialist

You will be working alongside senior engineers, exploring emerging technologies and contributing to R&D that enhances system communication for safer, more efficient train operations.
Your work will help deliver real cost savings in design, installation, and maintenance, benefiting the rail industry.
About the Job- To be the reference point for technical and engineering development and support, developing and implementing cost-effective strategies for configuring application data associated with signalling infrastructure.
- To investigate and analyse identified signalling data and associated systems issues.
- To define engineering requirements for railway signalling solutions.
- To participate in defining interfaces between engineering disciplines, as well as between signalling systems and components.
- To participate in the integration of signalling systems, components, and design solutions.
- To participate in the development and maintenance of signals and communications infrastructure standards, technical maintenance plans, service schedules, and inspection and test plans.
- To undertake Type Approval submissions for signalling-related equipment and systems.
This role requires a strong background in IT, Computer Science Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, suitable for membership with Engineers Australia.
You will need to possess a genuine passion and interest in emerging railway signalling technologies and demonstrated alignment with our values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of real-world experience in Railway Signalling ideally within Victoria, a Diploma in Railway Signalling and tertiary qualification in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
