Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to lead and shape the future of building compliance and safety in our community. You will be at the forefront of regulatory excellence, driving process improvements and mentoring a dynamic team of inspectors and cadets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and mentoring a team of inspectors and cadets to deliver high-quality building services.
  • Driving process improvements and modernising workflows across the Building Services team.
  • Conducting commercial audits, essential safety measures inspections, and cladding compliance checks.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on complex building compliance matters.
  • Ensuring legislative compliance and excellence in service delivery.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Registration as a Building Surveyor.
  • Proven experience in plan checking and mandatory inspections for residential and commercial buildings.
  • Strong knowledge of the Building Act 1993, Building Regulations 2018, and associated legislation.
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex customer interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound, informed decisions.
