About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our Liquor Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will partner with our Business Category Managers to drive business performance across sales, Buying Margin, and Trading Margin.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing annual plans, quarterly forecasts, and corporate plans for the BCMs, ensuring plans are owned by the business and supported by strategic initiatives
  • Supporting BCM decision making through proactive ad hoc analysis into business and market trends, and utilising commercial experience to ensure positive financial and commercial outcomes
  • Supporting trade planning outcomes across the BCM area to ensure plans are delivered profitably and in-line with expectation
  • Preparing and tracking financial information relating to business cases, ensuring robust review and challenge to key assumptions and investment criteria
  • Supporting the BCM area in relation to weekly trade, as well as periodic reporting and insights
  • Creating compelling presentations that communicate complex financial messages into a clear story for senior stakeholders
  • Providing analysis and insight to support Range Reviews across Spirits

About you and your skills

We are looking for a strong financial business partnering background, ideally in the retail or FMCG space. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to educate financial and non-financial stakeholders, as well as be comfortable challenging and influencing key stakeholders and working cross-functionally to deliver what's required.

You will also ideally have:

  • CA/CPA or similar business qualification, or near with commercial awareness and business focus
  • Financial experience in a retail/FMCG/complex environment desirable
  • Direct partnering experience
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Excellent data manipulation and analytical skills
  • Strong Excel, financial modelling, and PowerPoint skills
  • Developed knowledge of key financial metrics and ratios and an understanding of the situation in which to apply them
