Youth Justice Case Manager

As a Youth Justice Case Manager, you will play a critical role in contributing to community safety and the rehabilitation of young people in the justice system. You will be responsible for supervising and providing support to young people subject to Youth Justice Court orders.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare Court and Youth Parole Board reports
- Develop Client Service Plans
- Attend court for client matters
- Provide assessments and develop case plans/reports
- Advocate for the provision of support services
- A passion for contributing to the rehabilitation of young people in the justice system
- An understanding of the youth justice system, the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and associated policies and guidelines
- Knowledge of the principles of case management with the ability to utilise a range of assessments and interventions relevant to the background and needs of the young person
- Empathy and cultural awareness including an appreciation of different cultures
- Confidence in managing stakeholders, negotiating effectively to develop and implement solutions
- A Bachelor of Social Work or Diploma in Community Services Work is highly desirable
- Other tertiary qualifications at Diploma level or above will be considered only if they include units of study in case management/casework practice and have had supervised practical work placements
- A full driver's licence is required due to the need to respond to emergencies across the state at short notice and outside business hours as required
- A current employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) card is required and will need to be provided prior to commencement of employment by the applicant
