Senior Building Maintenance Engineer

The Millennia Companies is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Chief Engineer in Cleveland. This position requires a strong understanding of building maintenance, mechanical engineering, and repair.

Job Summary
  • Assist with regular inspections of building systems, including HVAC, electrical distribution, and fire alarm/life safety systems.
  • Evaluate and estimate mechanical or cosmetic projects and tasks to ensure scope, plans, materials, and workmanship meet compliance codes, ordinances, standards, and requirements.
  • Provide input to enhance departmental processes, evaluate workload, and direct and coordinate maintenance operations of building plumbing, heating, ventilation, AC, and ancillary systems and infrastructure equipment.
  • Maintain mechanical equipment rooms to ensure clean and safe conditions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's or advanced degree is strongly preferred.
  • Four years' experience working in building management/engineering is necessary.
  • Tech certifications and advanced knowledge of building maintenance and mechanical engineering and repair are essential.
  • Previous Engineering department experience within a hotel environment is advantageous.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are vital.
