About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Disability Services Manager to join our team at Women's and Children's Health Network.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Access Assistant Program (AAP) in supporting students with complex health needs and/or disabilities to participate in education. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for managing a team of staff to provide effective day-to-day services, including rostering, training, and coordination with health professionals and educational representatives.

The successful candidate will have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to foster professional working relationships both internally and externally. They will also possess the ability to persuade and negotiate to ensure positive outcomes, manage conflict with multiple stakeholders, and lead a region accountable for quality and risk management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and guidance to staff to support clients with complex health needs;
  • Coordinating the delivery of services by rostering staff, coordinating training, and partnering with health professionals and educational representatives;
  • Maintaining regional partnerships and ensuring key performance indicators and service delivery goals are met.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams and maximizing individual and team performance;
  • Strong customer service skills to achieve client satisfaction;
  • The ability to manage financial and budget requirements, including assessing and managing risk.
