At the Victorian Aboriginal Child and Family Agency, we are dedicated to providing supportive environments for Aboriginal families. Our team of professionals is passionate about fostering a safe and healthy family environment through intensive initial intervention and sustained service support.

We are seeking a skilled Family Support Specialist to join our Child and Family Services team. As part of our Aboriginal Family Preservation and Reunification Response (AFPR) program, you will actively engage with Aboriginal families with children and young people, aiding them in preventing at-risk situations.

In this role, you will work closely with existing services to provide an enhanced continuum of care statewide. You will be responsible for mentoring other case workers and supporting parents and their children through complex issues and crises.

To be successful in this position, you must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Practitioner in a relevant field that supports an understanding of child development and family functioning. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with vulnerable families.
