Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team in a full-time capacity. This role is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of equipment, farm infrastructure, and plant.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring maximum equipment uptime by providing effective and efficient preventative and scheduled maintenance
  • Carrying out general welding and fabrication duties
  • Maintaining mechanical machines, instruments, and appliances
  • Ensuring all work meets safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to relevant regulations
  • Supporting other projects as needed

About the Position

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime
  • Carrying out repairs and maintenance on equipment, farm infrastructure, and plant
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
  • Working collaboratively with the maintenance team to achieve goals and objectives

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 2 years post-trade experience in a maintenance or related field
  • Previous experience in welding and fabrication
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Demonstrated ability to identify faults and troubleshoot problems
  • Effective fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
