**Microbiologist Role Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Microbiology team at a prestigious health institution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical guidance on microbiology principles, processing various specimen types using automated and manual systems, participating in research and development projects, managing laboratory inventory, performing quality control testing, and decontaminating equipment.

A typical day will involve:

  • Providing technical support on microbiology principles

  • Managing laboratory inventory

  • Decontaminating laboratory equipment

Key Responsibilities:

The role requires the following key responsibilities:

  • Relevant qualifications, knowledge, and experience in diagnostic medical microbiology

  • Demonstrable time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Experience with various microbiology laboratory automation systems

Working Arrangements:**

Applicants should be available to work 24/7 rotating shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays. Preference is given to candidates who can commit to afternoon-evening shifts once trained.
