About the Role
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is seeking an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our Digital Product team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and automating delivery systems for digital services on web, mobile, and streaming media.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and automation of Digital Products Platforms, including the deployment of cloud-based infrastructure, testing, and code deployment.
- Work within the Product Engineering team to identify opportunities for the DevOps team to improve efficiency and support product strategy through adoption of automated processes.
- Provide technical leadership for DevOps engineers working within Digital Product, designing and provisioning continuous integration and continuous deployment services for the development of Digital Products services.
- Establish, document, and promote DevOps standards, including infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Continuously improve reliability through fault monitoring, reporting, and handling in supported platforms. Collaborate with the Platform Operations team to improve reliability and efficiency of supported systems.
About You
We are looking for a highly technical and passionate individual who is experienced in deploying and managing a variety of Amazon Web Services (AWS) services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, and VPCs. You should have demonstrated experience with Sagemaker (CDK pipelines) and automated CI/CD systems using tools such as Lambda, Docker, Bamboo, and CloudFormation.
Desirable Skills
- Experience using common third-party DevOps tools such as Datadog, New Relic, PagerDuty, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Experience using GitLab.
- Experience supporting and managing products delivered by CDN services such as Akamai or CloudFront.
- Previous experience working with Agile project management practices.
