This role is a senior engineering position that focuses on delivering long-term mine plans to optimize the life of assets.
The successful applicant will be responsible for modeling safety behaviors, coaching and developing junior engineers, and working with their team to assess and manage risk. They will also produce practical development and production designs based on new and updated geological resource models.
A key aspect of this role involves mentoring and supporting team members, contributing to their professional growth and the overall capability of the technical team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in both bulk and narrow vein hard rock mining, including exposure to paste fill operations.
They will have proven expertise in calculating life-of-mine (LOM) mining costs, cut-off grades, and reserves and resources.
Mandatory membership with AusIMM or equivalent professional bodies is required, along with advanced proficiency in Deswik and hands-on experience with stope optimization programs.
