We are seeking a skilled General Practitioner to join our team at the Joyce Palmer Health Service on Palm Island.
About the Role
- 10-14 days of work per month, with ongoing opportunities
- Hospital/Ward based shift work, with on-call responsibilities
- Opportunity to work with a diverse patient population
Requirements
- Vocationally registered GP with ALS2 or equivalent emergency certification
- Ability to work in a remote setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
About the Facility
The Joyce Palmer Health Service is a 15-bed primary-level acute facility located on Palm Island. We provide care to all non-critically ill patients, including antenates, neonates, children, adults, and aged care. Critical patients are stabilised and transferred to Townsville University Hospital by Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS) Emergency Management Queensland (EMQ) with a retrieval team.

Palm Island is a tropical island located off the coast of Queensland. The island has a rich cultural heritage and a strong sense of community.
