Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Description:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, payments, and collections. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and proactively follow up to ensure timely collection.
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries or discrepancies related to invoices or payments.
  • Prepare regular AR aging reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.
  • Meet with the Sales team to review and resolve overdue debtor accounts.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, audits, and other ad hoc finance tasks as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in an accounts receivable or similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and AR procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
