Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Steel Detailing team. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role in a full-time, in-house position.

The successful candidate will have experience in steel detailing (light gauge and structural steel), as well as coordination/project management expertise.

We require someone with the following skills and qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in commercial structural steel detailing and/or civil steel detailing
  • Proficiency in estimating steel frames and trusses (commercial)
  • Strong background in construction-based project management/coordination
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Detailing/Drafting or similar
  • CAD software skills, such as AutoCAD, Vertex and/or Frame-CAD software

We offer a competitive salary package, negotiable based on experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and time management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a successful Steel Detailing team
  • Coordinate and manage steel detailing projects from conception to completion
  • Estimate steel frames and trusses (commercial) with accuracy and efficiency
  • Foster effective communication with clients, architects, engineers and in-house detailers
