General Practitioner Paediatric Outpatient Clinics

We are seeking a General Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary general paediatric clinics, working alongside Paediatricians, registrars, and allied health professionals. The successful candidate will be part of a large paediatric team, supported by an engaged consultant group, with responsibility for a 24-bed inpatient ward and 13-bed Level 5 Nursery managing inborn deliveries from 31 weeks gestation.
This position is part of a new commitment to invest in the provision of general paediatric outpatient services to the Barwon region. The successful candidate will complement existing outpatient clinics based at University Hospital Geelong and community child health clinics based at Barwon North.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a consultant alongside Paediatricians, registrars, and allied health professionals in our multidisciplinary general paediatric clinics.
- Provide high-quality care to patients aged 0-18 years, encompassing medical and behavioural referrals.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of patients and their families.
- Participate in the management of 1-3 intensive care paediatric patients in a mixed adult-paediatric ICU service.
