Project Engineer Role

This role is part of the Paradise Dam Improvement Project, a large-scale project ensuring a safe and secure water supply for the Bundaberg region. The project involves interpreting, planning, coordinating, and administering construction engineering activities in line with project documentation.

The successful candidate will assist the Senior Project Engineer in preparing accurate monthly reports, demonstrate financial management skills, and actively manage and liaise with site-based personnel, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting, planning, coordinating, and administering construction engineering activities in line with project documentation.
  • Assisting the Senior Project Engineer in preparing accurate monthly reports.
  • Demonstrating financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
  • Active management and liaison with site-based personnel, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Developing and monitoring KPI and productivity analysis against program and budget.
  • Managing short- and long-term construction planning for works under control, including submitting start-up planning and programming.
  • Liaising with project teams, including sub-contractors & suppliers.
  • Development of SHEQ process and procedures and management of others in conducting SHEQ process and procedures.
  • Applying engineering principles to comply with scope of works and technical criteria.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and Company policies and processes.
Requirements

We require a recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering or Construction Management, previous experience as a Project Engineer working on large-scale projects with a tier 1 company, and proven commercial experience in forecasting and budget management.

Prior experience in RCC – Roller Compacted Concrete, TMR, concrete formwork is highly regarded. Note: this role will initially be based in our Alliance office in Brisbane but will transition to a full-time, site-based basis. You must be willing to work on site either FIFO or DIDO.
