Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Emmbr Full time

About Emmbr:

  • A fast growing, global fintech organisation based in Melbourne.

The organisation is seeking a highly skilled AWS Security Engineering Team Lead to oversee the protection of its cloud infrastructure. This role will be responsible for building a mature security environment from scratch, including leading a growing team and managing security incidents flagged by the external SOC.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into daily operational processes, enhancing the organisation's overall security posture. You will report to the global CISO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the infrastructure security and monitoring function to protect both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Secure cloud workloads, particularly within AWS, using AWS native security tools like Security Hub, Inspector, GuardDuty, and Detective.
  • Lead vulnerability management programs for cloud and endpoint security, ensuring continuous monitoring and protection.
  • Manage security incident response, ensuring timely detection, investigation, and resolution of security incidents.
  • Implement and maintain endpoint security across all devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of security requirements into operational processes.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of strong experience in a similar security engineering role. Team leadership is desired but not a must.
  • Strong expertise in AWS security tools and practices, including Security Hub, Inspector, GuardDuty, and Detective.
  • Proven experience with security incident response, vulnerability management, and runtime security.
  • Practical knowledge of endpoint security solutions (e.g., MDM, EDR), with experience in Crowdstrike and Intune being a plus.
  • Strong scripting, automation, and infrastructure-as-code skills, particularly with CloudFormation and Terraform.
