Produce Department Manager Opportunity

A key leadership role is available in our Fruit and Vegetable department, overseeing the daily operations to ensure stock levels meet customer demand.

As a Produce Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality produce to customers, managing a dynamic team, and contributing to the store's success.

The ideal candidate will have experience in produce management or a similar retail environment and possess strong leadership and team management skills. They will be passionate about delivering top-quality service and products, thrive in a team-oriented environment, and be able to foster a positive team culture.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with staff, customers, and suppliers. They should also have a solid understanding of health, safety, and food safety regulations and be proactive in ensuring compliance.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing a team of staff, including scheduling, training, and providing ongoing support.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the department.
  • Monitoring stock levels, performing regular checks, and placing orders with suppliers to minimise waste.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to secure quality produce at competitive prices.
  • Driving customer satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly.
  • Tracking and analysing sales data to develop strategies for growth and profitability.
