Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Gas Fitter to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining gas equipment at customer sites, ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the LPG industry, based at our Mackay Terminal.

  • Install new scheduled LPG installations in line with required codes and standards
  • Participate in residential, commercial, and industrial installations in the area
  • Provide advice on LPG installations to customers and internal contacts
  • Determine the most appropriate way to complete an installation

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Maintenance:

  • Complete new scheduled LPG installations in line with required codes and standards
  • Participate in residential, commercial, and industrial installations in the area
  • Review existing installations to ensure they comply with current industry standards and Origin codes
  • Ensure all work is completed in a safe manner, applying Origin's permit to work system

Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in Gas Fitting, with G and/or I/P license & exposure to LPG or industrial gasses
  • Prior domestic experience with exposure to performing B type servicing, breakdowns, and installation of gas appliances
  • Ability to travel
  • Current Driver's Licence (MR or above)
