As a Senior Project Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency's project management framework and considering project interdependencies.

You will provide specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders, performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.

Key responsibilities include completing regular project reporting, including status updates and exception reports, and monitoring project budgets, reviewing and reporting on expenditure, and assisting with procurement and contract management.

You will also identify, assess, manage, escalate, report, and monitor project risks, issues, and benefits, including developing treatment strategies.

Additionally, you will contribute to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong verbal and written communication skills, strong engagement with multiple stakeholders, and organisation and time management skills.

You will also demonstrate project management experience with successful achievement of project outcomes, excellent research and problem-solving skills, and the tenacity to stay with an issue until it is resolved.

This is a full-time opportunity with a 12-month assignment, with potential extension, and a competitive hourly rate of $60.26 per hour, plus Super.
