Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will report directly to the Assistant Financial Controller. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintaining the Argus Budget database, including monthly updates, adding new projects, and importing data from Argus Developer and Timberline.
  • Reviewing and preparing monthly variance reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Providing financial analysis support to Project Managers, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Group annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lodging Group taxation reports, including income tax returns, BAS, CAS, and IAS, as well as annual ATO taxable payments reports.
  • Maintaining group fixed asset registers and ensuring compliance with capital expenditure requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining commitments, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
  • Assisting with budget and forecast preparation, as well as special projects as needed.
  • Performing Accounts Administrator tasks when the Accounts Administrator is on leave.
The Ideal Candidate
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of modular accounting packages.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
