Senior Design Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to lead our design team in delivering high-profile commercial projects.

  • About the Role:
  • Lead and manage the design process across multiple complex commercial projects.
  • Coordinate and manage design consultants, ensuring compliance with brief, codes, and buildability.
  • Act as the key liaison between clients, consultants, and internal project teams on all design matters.
  • Identify design risks, provide technical advice, and offer innovative, cost-effective solutions.
  • Work closely with estimating, delivery, and site teams to align design with construction methodology and program.
  • Drive a collaborative, solutions-focused culture across all stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager on commercial building projects (health, education, institutional, mixed-use, or similar).
  • A solid understanding of construction methodology, D&C contracts, and statutory/regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to lead, mentor, and inspire others.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with a focus on buildability, value, and quality.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction, architecture, engineering, or similar.
