Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with freight haulage tasks according to established procedures and protocols.
• Preparing and provisioning locomotives and wagons for train operations by following established procedures.
• Performing minor fault repairs and failure rectifications in the field.
• Conducting maintenance tasks and collaborating with rolling-stock maintainers to ensure the integrity of rolling stock and operational systems.
• Working professionally with a strong customer and safety focus.
• Maintaining a commitment to established processes and managing risks with the objective of zero injuries.

Requirements:

• Current or previous NSW Safeworking Qualifications.
• Evidence of route qualifications/experience.
• Category 1 Rail Safety Workers Medical or willingness to obtain one.
• Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
• High level of literacy, numeracy, and comprehension skills.
• Commitment to a safety culture and customer-focused service delivery outcomes.
• Professionalism, integrity, reliability, and positive attitude.
