Job Title:

Pet Sales Assistant

This role offers a great variety of tasks and opportunities for growth.

Our ideal candidate is someone with a keen interest in animals, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a team environment.

The successful candidate will have experience working with dogs, cats, rats, mice, and guinea pigs, as well as a passion for assisting pet owners.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering exceptional service.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide valuable information and product recommendations to customers.
  • Maintain animal enclosures, restock merchandise, and tidy retail areas as needed.
  • Occasionally assist the online team with order picking and packing.

Requirements:

  • Keen interest and experience with dogs, cats, rats, mice, and guinea pigs.
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
  • Genuine passion for pets and assisting their owners.
  • Thrives in a team environment.
  • Proven retail sales skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude.
  • Availability on weekends and public holidays.

Additional Information:

A high level of animal care knowledge and husbandry skills would be an advantage, but not essential.
