**Job Description**

As a Safety Business Partner - Infrastructure Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring safety excellence across our sites.

Working closely with operations leaders, maintenance teams, and supervisors, you'll maintain a strong safety focus, particularly during new machine commissioning and site expansions.

You'll also collaborate with contractors and workers to demonstrate safety leadership through active engagement and visibility.

**Responsibilities**

  • Demonstrate safety leadership through visibility and engagement with leaders, contractors, and workers.
  • SUPPORT LEADERS IN IMPLEMENTING AND MONITORING COMPLIANCE WITH THE SIC SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, INCLUDING CORITY, CHEM ALERT, CONTRACTOR PORTAL, AND THE HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN.
  • Provide coaching and support on safety policies, health, wellbeing, and procedures to drive compliance.
  • Develop risk assessments and isolation plans for new machine commissioning.
  • Train and coach on event reporting, safety observations, risk inspections, and hazard management.
  • Oversee operational risk management and change request activities as directed.
  • Participate in and chair site safety meetings as needed.
  • SUPPORT COMPLIANCE WITH THE TRAINING SYSTEM, INCLUDING MY LEARNING, TRAINING SCHEDULES, AND SAFE OPERATIONAL TRAINING.
  • Deliver technical safety training to workers, including isolation, contractor management, and load restraint, in line with the Competency Profile.
  • Lead by example to demonstrate safety as a core value and use exceptional communication and influencing skills to promote safety across our sites.

**Requirements**

  • Tertiary Health and Safety Qualification (e.g., Certificate IV in WHS) or Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment, with a willingness to obtain the other.
  • Proven ability to apply Health and Safety principles in manufacturing/distribution environments and experience leading safety systems.
  • Previous experience in training and assessment is desirable.
