Job Description
As a Senior Security Engineer at Thales, you will be part of our highly skilled SOC team. You will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting key Microsoft Security and Google Sec Ops technologies in client environments to detect, prevent, and respond to security incidents.

Your Role:
Working from Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, or Brisbane, your responsibilities will include:
• Providing expertise in Microsoft Sentinel, Google Sec Ops, and Defender technologies to internal and external stakeholders
• Performing maintenance of Tesserent deployed technologies within client environments
• Assisting with the triage, response, and escalation of client and internal engineering tickets
• Taking ownership of projects to ensure they are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
• Working collaboratively with other members of the SOC team to continually improve our security monitoring and response capabilities

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Microsoft security engineering or related role, with a focus on core security technologies
• Strong experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender
• In-depth knowledge and experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, and EDR
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, methodologies, and technologies
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (i.e., SC-200, MS-500, and AZ-500)
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
