Allied Health Policy and Projects Lead

The Allied Health Lead Policy and Projects role is a key position within the Department of Health, responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of allied health education, training, and workforce development strategies and initiatives across the state.
Key Responsibilities- Research and investigate allied health education, training, and workforce development issues to inform strategic workforce policy and solutions.
- Formulate strategic allied health workforce advice based on research, critical thinking, and analysis, including assessment of risks, options, and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strong linkages with the University of Tasmania and other educational institutions to promote a learning organisational culture and build capacity and capability in the allied health workforce.
- Work closely with the Deputy and Chief Allied Health Advisors to develop and implement allied health education, training, and workforce development strategies and initiatives.
- Satisfactory completion of an appropriate allied health professional course of study at a recognised tertiary institution and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, eligible for membership with the relevant professional association.
- Current Driver's Licence.
The Tasmania Government offers a range of benefits, including a competitive salary, 11.5% superannuation contribution, and a supportive work environment.
This is a permanent full-time position, working 76 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of working arrangements outside Hobart being considered.
