Pigment Coordinator

As a skilled professional in the automotive industry, we are seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Pigment Coordinator. In this position, you will be responsible for colour mixing and matching vehicles, building and maintaining a colour library, preparing, priming, and painting vehicles according to job requirements, buffing and denibbing vehicles, handling all vehicles with due care and attention, notating any extra paint work required, reporting old damage or poor previous repairs, cleaning work bays and workshop areas, and providing guidance and coaching to apprentices when necessary.

• Colour mix and match vehicle after vehicle has been prepared and is scheduled for painting.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive colour library.
• Prepare, prime, and paint vehicles in accordance with job specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
• Buff and denib vehicles to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Handle all vehicles with precision and care to prevent damage.
• Document any additional paint work required beyond the initial quote.
• Notify supervisors of any old damage or subpar previous repairs discovered during the process.
• Clean and maintain the work bay and workshop areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Provide training and support to apprentices as needed to help them develop their skills and expertise.
