About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Exploration Geologist to join our team at Beilby Downing Teal. As a key member of our exploration team, you will be responsible for carrying out drilling and other field-based activities related to exploration programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement exploration strategies.
- Supervise drilling operations, field technicians, and contractors to ensure efficient and safe execution of exploration activities.
- Oversee geological support tasks, including sampling and dispatch functions, to meet required standards.
- Monitor exploration program costs and contribute to achieving efficient outcomes by maintaining a database of drilling and field activities.
- Provide data and text for periodic reports, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, as well as special reports.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Geology, preferably with Honours, and have over one year of experience in exploration and geology. They should have a proven ability to supervise drilling contractors and experience with geographical information systems, QGIS. A basic understanding of geological modelling software such as Datamine or Leapfrog is also preferred.
