We are seeking an accomplished educator to lead a dynamic classroom environment that fosters student-led learning and independence. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for Montessori education and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing Montessori principles, focusing on student-led learning and fostering independence in students.
  • They will develop and implement Respectful Relationships & Peaceful Kids programs, ensuring students develop emotional regulation and social skills in a safe, respectful environment.
  • Our ideal candidate will integrate environmental education into the curriculum, encouraging students to engage with their natural surroundings and appreciate local conservation efforts.
  • Supporting neurodiverse students and those with disabilities, offering tailored learning opportunities and emotional support is also a key aspect of this role.
Selection Criteria - Graduates
  1. A strong understanding of the relevant curriculum, including the capacity to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills, is essential for success in this position.
  2. The ability to respond to student learning needs is critical, as is the capacity to implement high-impact teaching strategies guided by how students learn and evaluate the impact of learning and teaching programs on student learning growth.
  3. This role requires a demonstrated capacity to monitor and assess student learning, using data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.
  4. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community to support student learning, wellbeing, and engagement.
  5. Consistent with Department values, our ideal candidate will demonstrate behaviours and attitudes reflecting upon practice and engaging in professional learning to continually improve the quality of teaching.
