Electrical Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical engineering projects and contribute to the delivery of complex projects that shape the built environment.

A rare and exciting opportunity awaits in our bespoke office. You will have the chance to work on a range of projects, scopes, and buildings, leading the delivery of electrical services engineering from concept to completion.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver detailed design for all elements of electrical (power, lighting, communications, security etc) engineering, design, and documentation to scope expectations.
  • Lead electrical engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Project involvement through all phases, from tender preparation and design delivery through to construction support.
  • Direct client engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Client/design meetings and site inspections.
  • Leadership responsibility.
  • Business Development with new and existing clients.
  • Collaboration and coordination with multidisciplinary teams on complex engineering solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in client meetings and project presentations.
  • Satisfy codes, standards, project, and quality requirements.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Have 8-10 years' experience in Australian building services ideally in consulting.
  • Extensive experience with complex electrical services engineering concept to construction completion.
  • A Chartered Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ).
  • Practical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and National Code of Construction.
  • Extensive experience leading and coordinating multi-discipline projects including managing client expectations.
  • Routinely demonstrate your ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with the clients, project teams, and internal teams.
  • Proven expertise to foster new and existing client relationships to drive growth for long-term success and profitability for self and business.
  • Passionate about mentoring and coaching junior engineers and designers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven project, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Use latest technology – BIM360, Microsoft Suite including Office and One Drive.
