We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Culinary Apprentice to join our team at Albany Creek Retirement Village. As an Apprentice Chef, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preparing and presenting meals for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals, ensuring quality, dietary requirements, and preferences are met.
- Support compliance with Food Safety Plan practices and maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen environment.
- Learn how to manage food supplies, including ordering, checking stock, and minimizing waste.
- Ensure proper use and cleaning of kitchen equipment, adhering to manufacturer instructions and infection control practices.
- Work with fellow Food & Beverage or Cook/Chef staff to ensure smooth operations.
- A passion for food and cooking, and someone who will enjoy being in a kitchen team of around 1-4 others.
- Currently undertaking your Certificate III in Commerical Cookery studies, ideally in Year 2 or 3.
- A positive person who possesses a 'can do' attitude, is reliable, and wants to grow within our organisation.
- Valid drivers license and car (as you might have the opportunity to help at some functions, events, or shifts across our neighbouring communities).
- Current Police check (required, but we can complete for you).
- Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required).
