Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Team Lead to join our team at Marriott Hotels. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our food and beverage operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of food and beverage staff to deliver exceptional service and meet high standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Inspect and maintain the cleanliness and organization of food and beverage areas, including storage and inventory management.
  • Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, and ensuring that all equipment and areas are clean and ready for service.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, and requisition necessary supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of food and beverage staff, and provide coaching and feedback to ensure that they meet the high standards of Marriott Hotels.
  • Follow all company and safety policies and procedures, and report any accidents or incidents to management.
  • Ensure that all guests receive a warm and welcoming experience, and that their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments, and contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality in food and beverage operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in food and beverage management or a related role.
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating teams to deliver exceptional service and meet high standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and guests from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and control.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and to stand for long periods of time.
