About the Role

As a member of the community development team, you will be responsible for managing and strategically directing all aspects of the Community Development team in Toowoomba.

  • Ensure that local staff have the necessary expertise to manage the financial performance and overall quality of projects.
  • Prioritize staff health and well-being, maintaining a strong office culture.
  • Represent the company externally to clients, developing new relationships and managing existing ones.

This diverse position requires multitasking, sharing time between project involvement, business development, group performance, and management responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Management of current and future workloads within the Toowoomba Community Development team to achieve financial targets.
  2. Support and guidance to Project Leads, Engineers, and Graduate Engineers to enable them to perform successfully at all levels.
  3. Maintain an appropriate level of service to key Clients.
  4. Design, documentation, and construction phase activities, including project review, liaison with client and consultant teams, liaison with authorities, reporting, contract administration, and quality audits.
  5. Facilitate knowledge sharing and engage with discipline colleagues within the business unit in QLD/WA/NT.
  6. Adhere to professional standards, ethics, and organizational quality procedures.
  7. Contribute to our company culture.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
  • Be a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland.
  • Previous experience in a consulting environment within Land, Urban, and Subdivisions.
  • Strong client relationships in SEQ.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.
  • Experience in the development of Performance Solutions.
  • Competence in managing risk exposure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
