This PhD opportunity focuses on understanding women's views of reproductive wellbeing and how health services can meet their needs.

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to work with our team in this qualitative research project. The successful applicant will be part of a multidisciplinary cohort of researchers based at the SPHERE Centre of Research Excellence in Women's Sexual and Reproductive Health in Primary Care.

Our goal is to describe women's views on what constitutes reproductive wellbeing and how health services can help them achieve it. This project aims to inform the co-design of new health services that are truly patient-centred and policy initiatives that lead to improved reproductive wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a nationally and internationally recognised leader in implementation research and knowledge translation in the general practice setting, Professor Danielle Mazza AM FAHMS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews with women of reproductive age in Australia to explore their views on reproductive wellbeing
  • Analyse the data collected from these interviews to identify key themes and patterns
  • Work with the research team to develop a comprehensive report outlining the findings of the study
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. public health, psychology, sociology)
  • Strong research skills and experience in conducting interviews or surveys
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

About the Project

This research project is designed to improve our understanding of reproductive wellbeing and how health services can better support women in achieving it. By exploring the experiences and perspectives of women of reproductive age, we hope to identify areas where health services can be improved to better meet the needs of women.
