Job Title: Senior Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team at ACCIONA. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of our iconic Hume Link East project.

About the Project:

The Hume Link East project involves the expansion of the existing Bannaby 500 kV substation and the design and construction of 230km of new 500 kV double circuit transmission line. This new transmission line will connect the Bannaby 500 kV substation at the Wondalga interface point with Hume Link West.

About the Role:
  • Work with our design teams to provide overall feedback and constructability reviews.
  • Lead and manage a team of experienced engineers.
  • Support and provide technical assistance to our supervisors and superintendents.
  • Oversee and manage the procurement of plant, equipment and resources.
  • Provide regular reporting including end of month cost reviews and reporting.
  • Work with our project controls team to provide feedback on works completed and upcoming works planning.
  • Ensure overall quality management including all necessary documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with our internal stakeholders, subcontractors and local community groups to achieve a best-for-project and best-for-community outcome.
Requirements:
  • Great people skills and the ability to build trust is a must backed by strong communication skills.
  • A tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience influencing and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes whilst developing strong working relationships.
