About the Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to supervise a team of environmental engineers, estimate project staffing needs, and schedule work effectively.

As part of a global business unit, you will utilize relevant engineering procedures and design standards to drive successful project implementation.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing complex projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical input to meet procurement requirements.

This leadership role demands strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate with clients to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct environmental engineering activities on small to medium-sized projects or portions of larger projects.
  • Estimate staffing needs and assign work accordingly to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Provide technical input for procurement requirements and manage the preparation of Environmental Engineering discipline estimates and work plans.
  • Review and approve key calculations, licensing evaluations, design documents, supplier drawings, and material specifications.
  • Ensure assigned personnel receive appropriate training for their professional development.
Requirements

This position requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of current environmental and permitting legislation, as well as corporate policies, guidelines, and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Evaluation and optimization skills to develop trade-offs and evaluate different alternatives to optimize project design, functionality, constructability, costs, safety, and sustainability.
  • Collaboration and coordination skills to work with specialized teams in processes, engineering, construction, and operations.
  • Experience in bottleneck improvement projects and mining projects, especially in the definition and execution phases.
