About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Sample Collector in a dynamic and growing organization. As a Sample Collector, you will be responsible for collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients, ensuring accurate and timely results.

You will work closely with customers, clinic staff, and couriers to ensure seamless sample collection and transportation processes.

This role requires excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously in a solo clinic setting.

If you have experience in phlebotomy or a healthcare background, and possess strong organizational and communication skills, this could be the ideal role for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients with care and attention.
  • Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample.
  • Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times.
  • Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing.
  • Liaising with various stakeholders to ensure smooth sample collection and transportation processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy/Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work autonomously, sometimes in a solo clinic setting.
  • A valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics.
  • A Working With Children's Check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Status as an Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or a valid visa with permission to work.
