The HSE Compliance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring that the highest health, safety, and environmental operational standards are maintained across all areas of our operations.

This is a pivotal position within our business, reporting directly to the Associate Director – People, Risk and the Environment. The role is predominantly based at our Perth office, with occasional travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Plans and Site Activity Compliance and Implementation Schedules.
  • Collaborate with RUC HSET management to facilitate and participate in Risk Assessments as required.
  • Conduct HSE document writing, including developing and implementing theory and practical assessments.
  • Provide training and competency assessments, and undertake reviews of our training programs, procedures, and standards.
  • Investigate incidents using ICAM methodology and assist with audits as required.
  • Support site HSE coverage during periods of leave.

Required Competencies:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in underground mining.
  • Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or equivalent.
  • C Class manual driver's licence.
  • High level computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good understanding of current WHS and mining legislation.
  • ICAM lead investigator certification.
  • Auditing qualification highly regarded.
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Working at heights certificate.
