Housekeeping Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and housekeeping equipment meet the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance.

  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and scheduling of housekeeping staff.
  • Conduct daily checks and periodic inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Manage the ordering, storage, and consumption of cleaning supplies, linen, and guest amenities.
  • Address guest complaints promptly and investigate issues to implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise laundry, uniform room, minibars, and specialized cleaning projects.
  • Ensure proper use and storage of chemicals, adherence to health and safety regulations, and control of lost and found items.
  • Evaluate employee performance, provide coaching, and recommend promotions.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a similar role, with a strong customer focus and attention to detail.
  • Proven track record in maintaining or improving cleanliness across a large area or property.
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and mentoring team members.
  • Understanding of productivity and working within budget constraints.
