Job Overview:

The primary function of this role is to oversee the commissioning of substations, ensuring successful project delivery. Key responsibilities include managing all aspects of commissioning activities, planning, and executing tasks on time.


About the Role:
  • Lead the team responsible for Primary and Secondary equipment commissioning within a substation;
  • Collaborate with Design Office personnel in preparing HV system designs for projects and bids under development.
  • Create FAT and SAT documentation for installations to be commissioned.
  • Conduct pre-commissioning tests and commissioning of new and refurbished parts and systems
  • Manage and supervise on-site work according to project requirements, legislative, and regulatory demands.
  • Provide timely 'As Built' documentation

Requirements:
  • Hold qualifications in an Electrical Trade or Associate Diploma or Electrical Engineering Degree;
  • Omicron CMC/CPC100/Testrano/CTA. (Or experience with similar Doble brand equipment)
  • CT/VT and transformer testing experience.
  • HV cable testing.
  • Protection relay and software experience using Micom, Siemens, SEL and ABB.
  • SCADA/61850 and networking experience (Desirable).
  • Be comfortable with travel and working outside of NSW.
  • Experience in developing tenders, negotiating contracts, and effectively managing customer relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
