About the Role
  1. Collaborate with teachers to design and implement individualized education plans that cater to diverse student needs.
  2. Assist in the development and execution of specialized programs under teacher guidance.
  3. Operate digital technologies to facilitate student learning and progress monitoring.
  4. Provide constructive feedback on education programs and contribute to evaluation processes.
  5. Maintain effective communication with colleagues to promote independence opportunities and support staff teams.

In addition to these responsibilities:

  • You will assist with the general health and wellbeing of students, including Epilepsy and seizure management.
  • You will participate in whole school initiatives and committees.
  • You will recognize the importance of building relationships with students, families, school colleagues, and leadership.

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • A high level of knowledge in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), specifically Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD) and devices is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing self-education and professional development to deliver effective programs.
